Badami, Pattadakal & Aihole have always been a part of the Hampi tourist circuit in Karnataka. While most people cover them all in a single day, it sure has a lot more to offer than just 1 day of sightseeing.

We spent 3 days exploring various places around Badami and to make it easy to refer to, we have broken it down into the following posts:
- History of Badami & Malaprabha Valley
- North Fort Trek – Badami
- South Fort & Rock cut caves – Badami
- Bhuthnatha temple complex – Badami
- Pattadakal – Coronation Stone
- Aihole – Merchants & Monuments
- Other Places of Interest around Badami
- Route & Road Conditions
- Badami Trip – Things to Consider

Very Well Written & info consolidated. Nice Photos RJ!!

Please describe how to cover these places on self-driven vehicle-Badami, Aihole, Pattadkal, Banashankari, Alammati Dam & Kudala Sangama in two days.
Wherever possible we are ok to hire local transport arrangements to avoid tiredness. Please suggest!
Thanks,
Jay

Hi Sethu – Hampi, I would suggest you to check hotels in hospet or there is a Clarks Inn near kamalapur as well. Badami, again Clarks Inn or Heritage resort. Are you planning to go to hampi first and then visit badami?
